Scalding Sands - Kalim’s House

I was distracted by the topic of these costumes earlier, but I gotta say, the inside of Kalim’s house is truly amazing.
Cater
For realsies! We only went in for a moment, but it was already enough to overwhelm me with awe~
Grim
Hmmm? What was it like?
Trey
You can see the biggest and grandest main hall ever when you throw open the huge doors there.
Cater
It was so, so huge that I started dancing with Trey-Trey before I knew it!
Grim
You guys are too merry for your own good.
Trey
I didn’t dance! Cater was just dragging me into it!
Cater
Anyways, it was so gorgeous! Everything was shining, shimmering, and all around dazzling!
Malleus
Those are very costly and radiant decorations. The taste here is entirely different from that of Briar Valley.
Cater
But we couldn’t possibly just leave our stuff in such a place, y’know? So Cay-Cay asked if there was a more fitting place to store them…
And then, to our amazement…we were brought to the treasury.
There was so much shiny gold and treasure piled up to such great heights, that my eyes hurt from all the shine!
Trey
That’s where our bags are now. It’s incredible how out of place they were.
Jamil
That treasury was newly constructed just this year, actually.
Cater
…Wait. You’re telling me there’s actually several of those treasuries?!
Jamil
Yes, there are at least ten of those.
Trey, Grim and Cater
THAT MANY?!
Jamil
Storage locations for treasure are determined based on the item’s size and value.
The first treasury at the back of the residence is where the most valued Asim family heirlooms, which have been passed down through the generations, are stored.
Kalim
I snuck into that storeroom in particular a number of times when I was a kid~
Jamil
And whenever that happened, a huge uproar would occur! You’d even destroyed some of the treasures!
Cater
How naughty of Kalim~
Kalim
Oh, yeah! I also met the magic carpet I ride on in school there, y’know!
Jamil
And isn’t that the most precious of all the heirlooms?!
Although it’s a replica of the legendary magic carpet, it’s practically a national treasure still!
Who would’ve thought you’d end up bringing it to Night Raven College… It’s literally in another country.
Kalim
Pa looked hesitant at first too, but he ended up giving the okay, y’know?
He was all smiles and went “I understand, take it along then! Make sure to get along well.”
Jamil
Master pampers you too much…

It’s all coming together alright, isn’t it? I mean, the carpet’s now another of our good friends!
