Everyone, we have arrived at Camel Bazaar.
Trey
Each row is crammed full of stalls. The bustle here really resembles that of a morning market.
Jamil
Indeed. Having this many stalls open for business is normal, but the energy today is… quite intense.
The Yasmina River Fireworks Festival must be the reason why there’s more people than usual here.
Cater
Whoa, this is it! This fits the image I had of the Scalding Sands!
It sure gives off the vacay vibes~ Time to snap a butt ton of pics ♪

Do the residents of Silk City purchase their daily necessities here?
Jamil
While the locals purchase fresh produce like vegetables and fish at Camel Bazaar as well…
There are also many fine food stalls aimed at tourists, especially during periods of high tourist footfall like now.
Malleus
…How odd.
Trey
What’s wrong, Malleus?

I’ve not seen a single camel even though I’ve been searching for them for a while now.
I thought there would definitely be plenty of camels lined up here since this is the Camel Bazaar.
Jamil
Ahh, so that’s the source of your concern. There are no longer any camels here.
Camels were used in this country for transporting luggage and goods up till the development of canals and roads.
In addition, it is said that there was once an oasis here where the traders would stop to let their camels rest.
Naturally, as the traders began to trade here, it eventually developed into a marketplace of its own…the result of which you can see here.
Camels no longer reside here now since ships and motor vehicles are used for trade and commerce instead, but they continue to live on in name.
Malleus
I see. It is certainly a name that is rich in history.
Trey
There’s no need to forcefully change a name that stuck, after all.
Cater
Plus, the name “Camel Bazaar” is cute and likeable. Perfect for a tourist destination!
Malleus
Is that how it works?
Cater
Yup, yup! Why don’t you have a go at it, Malleus? Give a place of your choice in Briar Valley a cutesy name!
Malleus
Something like “Rawr Rawr Li’l Drakon Market”, perhaps?
Cater
…M-Maybe not~.

Pfft. It was a joke.
Grim
Fnagh~! I don’t care the slightest bit about all that boring talk!
Get me something to eat right away instead! I’m gonna die from hunger any minute now!
Cater
Well, we did walk quite a bit, so I’m getting hungry too. Let’s grab a bite since there’s so many stalls here anyway.
Trey
We probably won’t be sightseeing anymore if we keep Grim hungry any longer.
Grim
Sniff sniff… I smell a super delicious something!
Malleus
The aroma of roast meat comes from the rotisserie at that storefront.
Jamil
That is a shawarma.
At a restaurant, it is plated and eaten together with vegetables…
At stalls, however, it is prepared as a fast food through methods such as inserting it into a baguette as a sandwich or into a flatbread as a wrap before it is consumed.
It is healthier than it looks since its excess oil drips out as it spins.
Cater
Ah! This shawarma uses sheep meat! I like that~ ♪
Jamil
This stall allows you to customise your toppings to your liking, with options like tomatoes, olives, and sliced onions.
Trey
There’s quite a lot of options for sauces too. There’s yoghurt, garlic1, and chilli sauce…
Jamil
I personally enjoy mine drizzled with mixed sauce made of garlic and chickpea paste.
Trey
I can probably keep my hopes up for it if that’s your favourite. I guess I’ll try that out.
Malleus
I would like the conventional order so that I can enjoy its fundamental flavour.
Cater
I’ll get onions, tomatoes, and lots of jalapeno peppers for toppings, and a mix of mayonnaise and basil for sauce!
And then, just a little bit of yoghurt sauce to top it all off ♪ And if it’s gonna be sandwich-style… I guess I’ll get the harder baguette!
Grim
Hehehe! I’ll have all the toppings and all the sauces mixed together for mine!
Trey
Our personalities are showing. Look how different our orders are from each other…
Jamil
How would you like yours, Yuu?
Jamil
Got it. I’ll go and place our orders then, please wait for a moment.
Excuse me, I would like five wraps and one sandwich, please. For the toppings and sauces…
Trey
Seems like he’s memorised all our orders perfectly. He’s reciting them with zero hesitation.

- Google says there are yoghurt sauce and garlic sauces which have their own ingredients in each, but i wasnt too sure if i want to name them as sauces since jamils next line seems to imply that the sauce can be made from a mixture of ingredients (Return to text)
